About Chris

In 2004, my psychotherapist recommended yoga to manage stress from a relationship and work at a high pressure Fortune 500 company. Yoga from a book had helped me through law school and the bar exam, and videos were beneficial to me as a new attorney, so I found a yoga home (Thank you, Breathe Yoga Studios!) and started taking classes regularly. At first, it was my sanctuary. As I felt better, I made healthier decisions. A desire to know how it worked led me to 230-hour yoga teacher training, then another 300 hours (Thank you, Yoga Center of Minneapolis!), and a desire to share yoga with other people who really need it — which is all of us! — led me to a 4-year-long 1,008-hour training to become a yoga therapist (Thank you, Yoga Well Institute!).

Fast forward to now: I left the high pressure Fortune 500 company and practice of law, and my relationships are thriving. I feel better than I did 10 and even 20 years ago, and I get to create custom sequences for amazing people that help them move forward, however they define that. Oh, I still have problems! But, as the Serenity Prayer says, I am better at recognizing hardships as the pathway to peace. I feel more equipped to handle whatever comes my way, and to follow my inner knowing. And that is what I want for you! I want you to find what you are looking for at a pace that works for you. I will walk with you, and I am confident that we’ll both be pleasantly surprised along the way.
